Tansun has helped provide extra heating comfort for diners on a rooftop terrace at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at the top of The Cube, an iconic new landmark in Birmingham.
Tansun’s infrared heaters were specified for the project and the heaters were installed when a retractable roof structure was fitted. Tansun’s Monaco and Eclipse in black were selected for this for their instant, low glare heat.
Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill is a skyline restaurant situated at the top of The Cube in Birmingham, where customers can experience a full 360˚ view overlooking the city. Voted best rooftop bar in the UK by LateRooms (March 2017), the venue is known for its atmospheric setting, and it was decided to extend this by opening up a rooftop terrace, with a retractable roof, where Tansun’s infrared heaters are now installed to provide heat coverage to this outdoor space.
The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse was encouraged to fit the infrared heaters and the retractable roof following a similar successful installation at its Bristol restaurant.
Max Bennett, manager at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, comments: “We have some beautiful views from our rooftop location and now with our new retractable roof and Tansun infrared heaters our guests can sit out all year round. We have very effectively increased our number of covers by doing this. The infrared heaters are brilliant in providing real heat to our guests on the balcony and as they walk out through the sliding doors.”
Tansun’s Monaco double low glare heaters and controls as well as Eclipse Triple heaters were installed in the restaurant, giving customers reliable heating systems which can be used all year round. The Monaco Double heaters offer increased heating power and coverage as a result of their 3.0kW heating power. The design allows heat for large areas, both indoors and outdoors and it emits a pleasant, ambient glow with low glare and no diminishment in heat.
Tansun’s Eclipse Triple infrared heaters provide efficient heat with a stylish, sleek black and no glare design. The heater contains long life ceramic elements which are highly efficient and durable.
