New CPD training from GlassGuard

New CPD training from GlassGuard

GlassGuard has launched a CPD training presentation titled ‘An Introduction to Fragment Retention Fluorescent Lamps’.

The presentation has been accredited by the Construction CPD Certification Service, part of an independent body operating across all professional institutions and societies. Its certified CPD ‘quality mark’ is a recognised symbol of quality assured training.

‘An Introduction to Fragment Retention Fluorescent Lamps’ is aimed at architects, consultants, specifiers or any other professional that has an involvement with, or interest in, lighting.

The training introduces Fragment Retention Lamps and IEC 61549 (BS EN 61549) Fragment Retention Lamp Standard. It provides an application guideline to businesses and organisations in where to use fragment retention lamps and highlights the dangers and cost implications of using non-compliant products.

Stewart Damonsing, marketing manager at GlassGuard said, ‘It is important for architects and specifiers to be aware of fragment retention lamps and the applications. The use of fragment retention lamps in areas such as food production, hotel and catering industries as well as public areas such as schools, leisure centres and hospitals is crucial as the risk of glass contamination and injury from accidental lamp breakage is very high.

‘This CPD presentation reinforces our commitment to the industry. It provides architects and planners with valuable information which will enable them to deliver the right solution to the end user.’
