New Aico iPhone App for contractors

New Aico iPhone App for contractors

For busy contractors on the move, Aico has launched a new iPhone App – Handyfacts – covering all the key information you need when fitting fire, smok and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms.

The new iPhone App is an ideal memory refresher when on site and is easy to use, with direct links from the contents page
to the relevant sections, an email enquiry facility so you can contact Aico directly and a link to Aico’s new website.

The Handyfacts App also covers which alarm types to use in different areas of a property, explains siting requirements with clear diagrams and also gives details on wiring and accessories.

Additionally, it shows the options that are available when it comes to alarm interconnection, including both hardwiring and Aico’s own RadioLink Professional system which uses radio frequency signals to link alarms.

Commenting on the company’s first App, Michael Wright, product manager at Aico, said, ‘We’ve designed our App to be a useful tool for anyone involved in installing fire or CO alarms and we hope it will remind people on site of best practice.’

The new Handyfacts Apps is available from the iTunes store free of charge – just search for ‘Handyfacts’.
