Free, practical hands-on solar PV site survey and commissioning test training from Seaward Solar

Seaward Solar is hosting a series of free hands-on training courses across the country to help installers to fully understand the electrical testing requirements of solar PV systems.

The course is designed to give installers the practical hands-on experience required to build confidence and complete the required commissioning tests in a comprehensive and efficient way.

The comprehensive sessions will give practical guidance on the requirements for testing solar PV installations as set out by the new IEC 62446 standard and in line with MCS requirements.

The course will clearly explain how to carry out installation commissioning tests and site surveys as well as complete system documentation offering particpants the opportunity to have a go on real test equipment designed to meet the requirements of IEC 62446.

The half day courses are being held on midweek dates throughout the end of September and during October at venues across the country.

Full explanations and demonstrations of all required solar PV electrical tests will be provided to ensure that solar PV electrical installations are installed safely and effectively and that systems perform to required levels.

As well as formal presentations, best practice advice and hands-on practical interaction with dedicated test equipment, all training courses will also include Q&A sessions to ensure that participants gain as broad an understanding as possible of the electrical test issues associated with solar PV system installation.

Attendance on the training courses is free and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Delegates can register direct at www.seawardsolar.com/solar-testing-training-courses.
