Win a MiHome Smarthome Starter Bundle

Online electrical retailer, ElectricalDirect, is giving away a MiHome Smarthome Starter Bundle during October as part of National Home Security Month.

The bundle, which is worth more than £190, includes a starter switch bundle with remote control, together with two additional wall sockets, motion sensors and open sensors.

As smart home security grows in popularity, the MiHome devices provide everything a tradesperson or a home owner needs to get started in smart technology, saysElectricalDirect.

The bundle includes a Gateway, which provides the communication hub, connecting all MiHome devices to the internet and enabling the user to control lighting, heating and appliances from anywhere inside or outside of their property. All products are operated via a remote control or the MiHome app on smartphones and tablets.

The products are designed to offer enhanced peace of mind when away from a property. The 360° Motion Sensor monitors movement in and around a building, while the Open Sensor picks up on movement of doors and windows – including cupboards and safes. Both devices send instant messages to a phone if unauthorised movement is detected.

According to the National Home Security Month campaign, burglaries increase by 38% when the clocks go back at the end of October. The smart sockets and switches in this bundle allow the user to control lighting and appliances remotely, giving the appearance of an occupied building, as well as enabling the user to monitor and reduce energy use.

To enter the competition, which is open until Friday 20 October, visit ElectricalDirect’s website and provide your email address.
