Campbell & Kennedy shortlisted for Best Use of Training at SELECT awards

The SELECT Awards, organised by CABLEtalk magazine, are dedicated to recognising excellence in the industry, with categories covering a wide range of disciplines. SELECT, Scotland’s trade association for the electrical industry, has helped bring the industry’s strong and deserved reputation for safety, excellence and high quality to the fore.

C&K has been recognised for its best use of training and are committed to offering a wide range of diverse training opportunities which are available to all staff members across the entire company.

Training has been at the forefront of everything that Campbell & Kennedy does. C&K has an in-house training facility which provides opportunities for professional development to their workforce and partner organisations.

As well as creating employment opportunities for apprentices, C&K has offered work experience placements for school pupils and students and bringing on apprentices, trainees and graduates has been a vital part of the company’s recent success.

Campbell & Kennedy has a proud history at the SELECT Awards. Last year the team won the award for Best Environmental Project and in 2014 picked up the prestigious Electrical Contractor of the Year award as well as the prize for Best Customer Service.

Gerry Kennedy, managing director at Campbell & Kennedy, said, ‘To be nominated for the SELECT Awards once again is testament to the hard work and commitment that our team has put in so the company can continue to grow and develop.

‘Training is the foundation that C&K is built upon and we are committed to investing in the development of our staff. We look forward to what is sure to be a fantastic night.’

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 14th October at the Glasgow Radisson Hotel.
