The challenge is on for tradespeople

At selected Screwfix stores across the UK, tradespeople have the chance to be rewarded for their footy skills whilst stocking up on trade essentials for work.

Electricians and other tradesmen and women are invited to their local stores to take part by competing head-to-head to see who can get the most footballs in to the back of a van in just 30 seconds.

Those who take up the challenge will be entered in to the ‘Back of the Van’ national prize draw, sponsored by DeWalt, and be in with the chance to win the ‘Ultimate Viewing Experience’ prize worth £5,000, to make watching games truly memorable.

If that’s not enough, those who join in the antics at the Screwfix stores will not be walking away empty handed! Everyone who participates will receive a free gift from Screwfix and DeWalt, and the highest scoring contestant at each store will be awarded with a DeWalt combi drill.

John Mewett, marketing director at Screwfix commented: ‘We know many of our trade customers have a love of the national game, so we wanted to offer a bit of fun during June, when they’re popping by to stock up. We look forward to seeing who has secret skills, but encourage anyone who wants to have a go to take on our challenge!’

For those who cannot make it to store there is a chance to take part and win online at facebook.com/Screwfix.  The ‘Back of the Van’ scratch card game is available on Facebook.  Players simply need to match two symbols to win and claim the prize!  Partnered with DeWalt, winners could be walking away with a trade essential – either a top of the range DeWalt Power Tool bundle worth £600, a DeWalt combi drill, 10 per cent off at Screwfix or builder’s gloves.
