Marshall-Tufflex announces multi-million pound investment

This major project will deliver improvements in the company’s already high levels of customer service and product quality, with the move reinforcing the manufacturer’s commitment to high production values and on-going product innovation.

Paul Hetherington, Marshall-Tufflex chief executive, said: ‘This investment will be felt throughout our business; product innovation, quality and finish remain our top priority and new tooling will allow us to continue to meet and exceed our own high standards.’

The company has taken delivery of a 3D printer, now an integral and important part of its product development process, and three premium quality injection moulding machines to provide improved production flexibility and cycle time savings. These machines, together with planned investment in production automation, support the company’s commitment to manufacturing high quality products whilst maintaining energy efficient methods at every step of the process (Marshall-Tufflex has recently been recognised by the BSI as a firm of Assessed Capability to BS EN ISO 50001:2011 and BS EN ISO 14001:2004). In addition Marshall-Tufflex is gearing up for the introduction of BIM across government projects next year.

Investment is also being made in the IT infrastructure, improving the ordering/delivery process and a new telephone system will introduce call logging and monitoring, improve response times and allow for improved staff training.

‘Marshall-Tufflex, a leading employer in Hastings, has been the market-leading cable management manufacturer for more than 40 years but we are absolutely not comfortable resting on our laurels and wish to remain at the vanguard of the industry for the next 40 years-plus,’ concluded Mr Hetherington.
