CP Electronics to make waves at Little Britain Challenge Cup

Taking place in Cowes, Isle of Wight, the birthplace of international yacht racing, the LBCC will see teams from companies across the building sector take part in a regatta event, from 10th to 13th September 2015, in the hope of securing yachting glory, all while raising money for a range of charitable causes.

With two yachts registered for the company’s LBCC debut, Team CP, led by CEO Marcus Martin, is looking forward to making a splash at the event. Marcus joined the company nearly 10 years ago and took over the leadership role in 2014, having previously served as Operations Director. He brings with him a wealth of strategic expertise acquired during an international career spanning more than 25 years in high-growth, technology-led businesses.

Commenting on CP Electronics’ participation in the event, Marcus Martin explained: ‘The Little Britain Challenge Cup seemed like the perfect event for us on the basis that it embodies much of what we stand for – essentially, harnessing energy in an efficient, environmentally-friendly and sustainable manner.

While the LBCC promises to be great fun, we do not underestimate the challenge that lies ahead. Nonetheless, with perseverance, patience and tenacity, we are confident that Team CP can achieve a good result.’

Since its inception in 1988, the Little Britain Challenge Cup has raised in excess of £1m for a variety charities, many of which give disadvantaged people the opportunity to discover the joy of sailing.
