The new regulation applies to all new consumer units fitted in domestic household premises, including the main building, its land and all integral attached or detached outbuildings. It also applies to similar switchgear assemblies for use within domestic household premises, not just consumer units.
Similar switchgear is switchgear that is used for the same fundamental application eg. a garage consumer unit.
