Yesss Electrical hosts charity Golf Day

The event, run in partnership with Envirovent, will take place at Leeds Golf Centre, Wike Ridge, on Friday 8th May. The event will feature golf, footgolf and a variety of golf themed competitions, including longest drive, nearest pin and a putting competition. Fantastic prizes are on offer, including the chance to borrow a Jaguar F Type car for an entire weekend.

In addition to this, complimentary refreshments will be served before the commencement of the golf, followed by an exclusive evening event. This will consist of a three course meal, prize presentations and an after dinner speech from former Leeds United favourite and ex-Wales manager Terry Yorath, who will also be competing in the golfing events throughout the day. More than 30 local businesses are taking part, with many donating prizes or sponsoring individual holes at the golf event.

Andrew Hayward, sales manager at Yesss Electrical Leeds, said, ‘The Yesss team is delighted to help Betsy’s parents and Newcastle University raise money and awareness of Mitochondrial Disease and we’re delighted to see so many businesses getting involved.

‘Betsy’s family are an inspiration to the local area, and we’re pleased to have the chance to help raise money for such a fantastic cause. The research and work Newcastle University is carrying out is helping tremendously to find solutions that make a real difference to the lives of people affected by the disease.’

The fund is aiming to raise £10,000 to research the disease, which affects around 6,000 adults and children in the UK and currently has no cure.
