The global initiative invites customers, installers, engineers and distributors to submit their bright ideas at http://innovationawards.pentairpoleposition.com to make Raychem products even easier to use. The winner will be rewarded with a cheque for $3,500 and is invited to present their innovation at a ceremony in London. They will also be able to attend the final Formula E race, taking place in the city at the end of June.
The company’s revolutionary self-regulating heat-tracing Raychem technology was first introduced in 1974 and led to the development of a wide range of innovative solutions for the industrial, commercial and residential building sectors. To mark this significant moment in the company’s history, Pentair has launched the Open Innovation Awards to encourage its global customers to influence Pentair’s wide range of thermal management products and services through collaboration.
Any insight or improvement to make the existing company products, tools or software packages easier to use is a potential winner, regardless of size, complexity or application. Submissions will be shortlisted by the Pentair judging panel, who will select five ideas to be showcased on the competition website. The winning participant will be presented with the Pentair Open Innovation Award, alongside a monetary prize.
