Five years on: continued expansion of Electricfix’s store network

Established to service qualified electricians and electrical contractors, Electricfix has worked closely with industry bodies such as NICEIC, SELECT and ECA to support trade professionals.  The business has used the innovative infrastructure of its parent company Screwfix, to ensure its customers get the very best products at low fixed prices as quickly and as easily as possible.  This focus on quality, value and convenience has seen Electricfix build a loyal customer base and has enabled its significant growth.

An extensive product range of more than 23,000 products – developed to meet the needs of qualified electricians and electrical contractors – is available and customers can benefit from next day delivery on orders placed before 7pm, or pick up their goods just five minutes later at a local store with its Click & Collect service.

Sandra Everett, senior marketing manager at Electricfix, comments, ‘The first five years of Electricfix have been a great success, thanks to the support of our customers. We now employ over 1,400 staff in Electricfix stores as well as a dedicated team of 24 in our contact centre.

We focus on offering the products that qualified electricians and electrical contractors tell us they need, so they can get on with the job.  For example, last year we sold so many reels of cable, it could have gone all the way around the world and then from the UK to New York!

2015 will see us expand further, bringing our convenient service to the doorsteps of even more qualified electricians and electrical contractors than ever before, so they can get hold of quality products at low fixed prices at a time that suits them.’

Electricfix plans to open at least 50 new stores in 2015 which will see an around 100 new employment opportunities across its store network.
