On the road with Havells’ electrical innovation

The roadshow, which includes visits to NICEIC Live South and ELEX Manchester, will showcase the company’s range of electrical distribution solutions, focusing on peripheral application requirements, such as metering and surge protection. These areas of electrical distribution often create the greatest challenges for electrical installers and specifiers alike, in terms of compliance with the myriad of UK regulations and standards that are applicable.

Contractors and specifiers will be able to view close up the innovative QuikWire meters for MCCB panelboards, which dramatically reduces installation time and errors due to the plug and play install, whilst the unique Tri-Load TPN MCB distribution board, delivers a standard distribution board that has a flexible three sectioned metered design for power, lighting and mechanical services loads. Surge protection solutions are available across the range of primary and secondary distribution boards and offer a performance tested solution, such that the end application, achieves a known level of protection from electrical surges, which are a major cause of premature failure of sensitive downstream equipment.

The Tri-Load product family has now been developed further to address the increasing integration of micro generation e.g. PV and wind, within building designs. The new ‘Tri-load Renewable’ capture export energy data as part of the standard metering function will be available to view on the Havells mobile unit.

Also on show will be the HomesSafe consumer unit, with the outer casing made of flame retardant 765b plastic – Homesafe aims to significantly reduce the risks often associated with electrical fires in the home.

‘Our mobile unit has so far proved to be a great success, enabling us to bring the full range of Havells products directly to the front door of the electrical contractor and facilities manager,’ said Mike Lawrence, marketing manager at Havells. ‘Being able to walk through the mobile showroom, view the products up close and have the opportunity to ask our experts questions is invaluable to the electrical specialists involved with switchgear.’

As well as regional visits to electrical wholesalers and contractors, the roadshow will also be at NICEIC Live South at Epsom Downs on 16th May and ELEX at Event City Manchester on 19th and 20th June.
