ADT supplies Inverness College with free fire products

The students, who are undertaking Electrical and Electronic Engineering NVQ courses at the college, will use the products to learn about the latest fire detection and alarm technology, which forms a key part of their wider curriculum.

Inverness College takes around 8,500 students every year and out of these between 50-70 study electrical courses from NVQ level to degree. Given that a key requirement of these courses is to keep up to speed with the latest fire detection technology, Inverness College contacted ADT Fire & Security for support and, as such, the company has supplied the college with fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, call points, sounders and xenon beacons.

Ian Afek, electrical technician at Inverness College commented, ‘We can’t thank the team at ADT enough for their generous donation. Fire technology is a vital element of our curriculum so these products will really help our students to ensure their knowledge of the latest systems is completely up to date.’
