Puppy power at antimicrobial installation

Marco has supplied over 500 lengths of its new uPVC Trunking range, Elite Hygeia, with antimicrobial specification at the National Guide Dog Training Centre in Leamington Spa.

The new building is set to be a flagship site for ‘The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association’ with full visitor and educational facilities and will enable the Guide Dog charity to increase the number of puppies currently bred each year from 1,100 to around 1,550.

Stephen Johnson of M&E contractor Imtech said, ‘Marco introduced to us their new ‘Hygeia’ specification for its Elite Trunking range and this fitted really well with our immediate and broader needs. A specially designed walkway runs through the whole centre, allowing groups of visitors to see the breeding work, without disrupting the day-to-day operations of the centre. This is really important to the centre as it will also help minimise the risk of introducing infection to the dogs, puppies and pregnant mums.’
