Prysmian supplies Westfield’s Vue Cinema at Stratford

Prysmian is currently installing 14,000m of its FP200 Gold fire resistant cabling within the Vue Cinema at Stratford’s new Westfield Shopping Centre, specified to power the state-of-the art fire alarm and multi-zoned voice alarm systems.

Electrical contractor Solid State has been working on the project since April this year as Mark Suffolk, contracts manager explains, ‘FP200 Gold from Prysmian was specified for this project due to the product’s all round quality and the fact it can be stripped with ease, enabling the installation process to be quick and efficient.’

Mark added, ‘The Vue cinema complex is housed within the largest shopping centre in Northern Europe and therefore required the highest standard of fire resistant cabling.’

The new Vue Cinema, positioned at the heart of the Olympic complex, will be one of the largest all digital cinemas in Europe and work is due for completion in August 2011.
