Watford Move Sees Growth Strategy Heat Up At Uponor

Uponor

Uponor, a provider of sustainable solutions for heating, cooling, infrastructure and building service applications, has chosen Watford as the location for its new UK HQ.

The €1.1bn company, which operates across more than 30 countries worldwide, has moved to The Pavilion on Blackmoor Lane from Leicestershire, creating new roles in Watford and Hertfordshire.

Explains John Fahy, UK managing director of Uponor: “Our new headquarters provides us with space to grow and has allowed us to create a customer experience centre where delegates can get to know our solutions first hand and gain insights into the projects we’ve helped to deliver worldwide.

“The move is aligned to our focus on key customers and key market sectors. We will maximise the impact of our location to engage with target groups so that we can support them with an integrated specification that’s tailored to achieve their projects’ climate, water management and sustainability goals.”

Following the move, Uponor now has a 50+ strong team in the UK; including design and estimating teams in Watford and the company’s northern office in Huddersfield, and field based sales teams across the UK.

Stock holding and logistics will now be handled by a third party provider, ensuring consistent levels of rapid service and reliability as the company continues to grow, while streamlining the organisation to focus on its core business.

John adds: “We are already a leading provider of indoor climate solutions and the office move will help us to build on that reputation across our wide variety of innovative heating, cooling, and building services solutions, which include a wide product offering from major district heating schemes to solutions for single family homes.

“Our new location will also help us to drive growth by focusing on key target sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, residential and hospitality, where we can offer integrated solutions for specifiers, consultants and developers.”
