Recolight launches enhanced system for WEEE recycling

Recolight has launched a new and improved online booking system for its business collection points and recyclers across the country.

With over 1,100 collection points across the UK, Recolight has one of the largest networks dedicated to the collection of commercial lamps. In order to support its growing network, Recolight decided to update its booking system, known as Recoweb, to give Recolight’s collection partners a more efficient and user friendly way of requesting free of charge collections.

The system now has greater functionality, allowing collection points and recyclers to complete hazardous waste consignment notes securely online, book more than one container at a time, and register multiple users. To facilitate a smoother booking process, users will receive an email confirmation with a unique reference number when they book a collection, and are then able to monitor the status of a collection request, and cancel or edit collections online within 48 hours of the request being made.

The improvements to Recoweb are part of a wider update of the Recolight website, making it easier for consumers and businesses interested in joining the network to navigate around the website and find information on Recolight’s recycling services. The update was triggered in response to feedback received through a survey of collection points and members conducted by Recolight last year.

Suzanne Castine, marketing manager at Recolight, said, ‘We are very pleased to have been able to act on feedback from our collection partners, and ultimately provide a more user friendly experience. The new Recoweb has received positive feedback from users so far, and we want to thank our collection partners for their patience and enthusiasm during the transition.’
