Moss Electrical completes £3m sale of Canning town premises and invests in UK solar market

As the business grew it soon became apparent that the Canning Town facility could not adequately support the growing operations of the business and in January 2008 the directors of Moss Electrical made a £10,000,000 investment and decided to relocate its headquarters in Canning Town, East London to a 150,000ft2 distribution facility in Dartford, Kent. The centrally located facility in Dartford provided Moss with a significantly enhanced platform, to service its growing client base across London and the whole of the South East.

Over the past six years the Board of Directors have been working closely with Cathedral Group Plc to develop the Caxton Street North site, incorporating 336 flats and 14 light industry/restaurant units. After completing the sale managing director Robert Moss commented, ‘The sale of our Canning town premises has bolstered our balance sheet significantly allowing us to make several R&D investments into the residential and commercial solar PV market. We aim to introduce a leading range of solar PV products to our portfolio very shortly.’

Moss Electrical has also been appointed as sole UK distributor by Suzhou Hosola New Energy Co, a Chinese manufacturer of solar inverters. Robert Moss further commented, ‘We are obviously very pleased with this appointment; our residential solar experience allows us to deliver both service and quality to the UK’s solar marketplace.’

The multi-year deal covers Hosola’s full range of Inverters 2500TL – 4200TL all complete with a 10 year product warranty.

Eric Zhang. managing director of Hosola New Energy Co said, ‘We are delighted with the signing of this unique  partnership with Moss which will enable us to extend our coverage into the UK reaffirming our growth strategy. We are continually striving to select marketing leading partners with regards to our international development objectives.’
