Firstly the charitable training provider’s website has been reconfigured to improve navigation and ease of access to the broad range of subject areas. Simultaneously, the company has launched seven dedicated regional sections of the site, containing updated information that is particular to any of the regions across England and Wales.
Information includes news items, details of professional development course dates and venues and specific funding opportunities that supplement national grants. In a further move JTL has made it possible for potential apprentices to complete their registration details and apply for an assessment test through mobiles and tablets.
‘These new developments will greatly enhance a service that independent research has shown is really appreciated by employers,’ said Richard Allen, JTL’s marketing manager. ‘These professional development courses open doors to new streams of revenue for companies of all sizes and it is now even easier to book places.’
The company is also reporting a growing demand for its services at the JTL National Centre for Excellence at Birmingham that was opened last October. Intake streams now include support for local apprenticeships, a ground breaking programme for traineeships and a stream of full time students who are completing the first two years of underpinning knowledge that contributes an accreditation towards success on a subsequent apprenticeship programme. An open day at the Centre in mid-July boosted recruitment and a further event geared to school-leavers in 2015 takes place this October.
