Industry tee-off for EEIBA

The Electrical and Electronics Industries Charity, EEIBA, has received a cheque for £4,300 following the successful national golf tournament organised by Schneider Electric, with guests from ECA and SELECT and industry supply chain.

The event is now into its 27th year and attracted 720 players plus from across 11 top golfing locations throughout the UK and Ireland, culminating in a two day, 72 hole competition at Hawstone Park in Shropshire.

Stewart Gregory, trustee for EEIBA and director at Schneider Electric said, ‘The tournament continues to increase in popularity and that’s thanks to the high standard of golf that the competition sustains year-on-year. It’s also great fun and something that the industry feels it can put its full support behind.

‘A big thank you to all those who took part and congratulations to the tournament winners.’

Money raised at this year’s event will go to help those in need in the electrical and electronics industry.
