Gent launches new CPD course for wireless systems

Gent by Honeywell has released a new CPD guide to look at what considerations need to be made when selecting radio linked fire alarm systems.

The CPD approved course addresses all of the key issues around installing a fire detection system that relies on wire free technology to link the component parts. The CPD guide is part of a series of technical seminars produced by Gent, aimed at raising the knowledge base of professionals in the industry.

The latest CPD brochure and presentation entitled ‘What? No Wires!’, looks at the current legislation and standards, including the requirements and the differences between the European Product or ‘build’ Standard of EN54 part 25, as well as the parts of BS5839-Part 1:2002 that cover design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of these ‘wireless’ or radio systems.

Lee Tuplin, product manager at Gent by Honeywell said, ‘This latest CPD course is ideal for providing information on the selection and installation of any wireless fire alarm system. The advantages and disadvantages of wireless systems are well documented across the industry; and this course is aimed at raising the knowledge base of professionals and provides a wealth of up to date information on today’s full and hybrid wireless solutions.’

The ‘What? No Wires!’ CPD seminar is available now.  All Gent CPD seminars have gained several relevant external accreditations and have been officially certified by the Construction CPD Certification Service.

Gent’s CPD seminars are listed on the CPD website www.cpduk.co.uk.
