G&H Group unveil designs for new headquarters

G&H Group, which comprises of building services, sustainability, fabrication and maintenance companies, is putting the finishing touches to the redevelopment of Firlands Mill.

It will move into its new headquarters later this month as it continues to expand having seen turnover rise to £18.47 million in 2014, up from £14.13m in 2013 and £10.81m in 2012.

G&H Group, which is currently at Spence Mills in Mill Lane, Bramley will use the new site as its office headquarters and fabrication welding facility. It will also provide staff with an interactive area featuring a canteen with IT facilities and a gymnasium.

Managing director of G&H Group, Graham Kelly, said, ‘The mill has stood derelict for many years but we are bringing it back to life, transforming it from a blot on the landscape into a building that is attractive, clean, tidy, safe, secure and environmentally friendly.

‘It is the next chapter in our 14 year history and due to the rapid growth we have enjoyed in recent years, we need larger, tailor-made premises. G&H Building Services which provides mechanical and electrical solutions has gone from strength-to-strength while G&H Sustainability has exceeded our expectations, turning over £2m last year despite still being in its infancy.

‘Since 2010, our workforce has grown from 28 to 82 and we are investing heavily in our people to ensure clients receive the very best service. This means providing them with the right level of training, support and equipment and also the right environment which is exactly what Firlands Mill will offer. It will also allow us to fabricate key, bespoke components for use on-site that will considerably shorten the overall programme of works for clients.’

G&H Group’s key clients include BAM Construction, Clugston, GMI Construction, Harris, ISG, Mitie, Sir Robert McAlpine and Sewell.

Projects include Rolls-Royce, Asda, Morrisons, EE, University of Law, 10 Trinity Square, Battersea Power Station, LA Fitness, Coca-Cola, Siemens and University College London Hospitals.
