As part of their participation in the race, both the ECA and CEF have committed hundreds of pounds towards the Electrical Industries Charity, which will be used to support the neediest within the industry.
In addition, the ECA is seeking to raise further funds for the Electrical Industries Charity through a fundraising drive, and donations can be made by visiting- https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Electrical-Contractor-s-Association.
Phil Surlis, ECA group head of human resources comments: ‘The ECA is delighted to be part of this exciting Dragon Boat Race in order to show our support for the Electrical Industries Charity. We urge family, colleagues, and friends to support the charity by making a donation or by attending on the day to watch our team seek to tame the dragon.’
Charlie Beddows, managing director of CEF, commented: ‘This is such a great event which will bring everyone closer together to support our industry’s charity. We are excited to take on this challenge and are looking forward to being part of the charity’s first Dragon Boat event.’
The Dragon Boat 2016 is taking place on Saturday 6th August at Peterborough Rowing Lake. This fun family event includes a range of food stalls, a picnic area, and activities for children, such as funfair rides and face painting.
