CP Electronics Debuts New Innovations At ED&I Expo

Spotlight on new products

A range of new lighting control products by CP Electronics – a brand of Legrand – will be on display at this year’s ED&I. The company will be launching its mid-range presence detector, EBDMR, and its RAPID scene control solutions. These new products bring together CP’s complete range of solutions for specifiers, lighting designers, contractors and facilities managers – and you’ll be able to get a closer look at them at Legrand stand’s, number 113.

CP’s new EBDMR detector draws on its series of ceiling-mounted passive infrared (PIR) presence detectors and features a domed lens for a greater detection range of up to 15m. It has been designed for projects where full coverage of a room of this size is required and when there are only two or three luminaires in use. As a result, often one detector is required instead of two, with less wiring required, saving time and money.

The range will be on show alongside CP’s new RAPID scene control range, which provides advanced scene setting functions for the RAPID lighting control system. The product allows end users to control lighting from a tablet or smartphone through a new cloud-based app, whilst stylish plates help create a complete scene setting solution, explains the company.

The new products all include a five-year warranty as standard and have been designed and manufactured in the UK at Legrand’s CP Electronics site in Wembley, in response to widespread market demand. The company will also be showcasing its existing range of standalone detectors, pluggable systems and wireless solutions.

“The ED&I Expo gives us a great opportunity to introduce our extensive product range to the electrical installation market,” comments Mike Brooks, marketing manager for the CP Electronics brand.

“What we will demonstrate on the Legrand stand is the fact that we have manufactured solutions for a number of different audiences. By working closely with these markets, we are able to continue to design and manufacture innovative new products which address the needs and requirements of the market.”
