Aico makes its debut at FIREX

Aico will be displaying its range of market leading domestic smoke and CO alarms, along with working examples of its latest data extraction technologies.

One of the products anticipated to be the focal point of interest on Aico’s stand is the recently launched mains powered Ei2110e Multi-Sensor fire alarm.  The Ei2110e Multi-Sensor fire alarm contains two sensor types, optical and heat, to constantly monitor smoke and heat levels, sending and receiving information via its intelligent detection software. The alarm interprets this sensor information to automatically provide the best response to all fire types and reduce potential false alarms.  Aico was the first company to launch a Multi-Sensor for the domestic market and this latest model comes with a host of innovative features including AudioLINK and RadioLINK+ data extraction technology; easier installation; and self-monitoring function that recognises system tampering or alarm head removal.

RadioLINK+ and multi-award winning AudioLINK data extraction technologies mark a genuine advance in domestic fire alarm systems.  The latter enables individual alarm data to be extracted in three simple steps using the free AudioLINK App, whilst RadioLINK+ provides entire system data in real time from within or even outside a property.  This valuable information not only enables contractors on site to take appropriate action, but can help with landlord’s asset management records.  RadioLINK+ is also used to interconnect alarms on the system without the need to hard wire them together.  It comes as a plug in module on the Ei2110e and the Ei160e Series of alarms, which has the added benefit of negating the need for a separate RadioLINK base.  These remarkable new technologies will be demonstrated live on the Aico stand at FIREX.

In addition to new alarms and alarm technologies launched over the past year, Aico has also developed a wide range of accessories, many of which enable Aico products to be interlinked with third party systems such as BS5839 Part 1 fire alarm systems, Warden Call Systems and Gas Shut Off Valves.

Having dedicated more than 25 years to supplying the public sector with quality alarms, pioneering new technology aimed at meeting the needs of landlords and their tenants, and providing what is widely regarded as the best support in the industry, Aico has deserved its place as the first name in domestic fire and CO detection in the UK social housing sector.  Aico has more mains powered domestic smoke alarms installed in the UK’s social housing than any other manufacturer.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Ei Electronics, all Aico alarms are designed and built in Europe, specifically to meet UK standards and regulations, under the strictest of quality controls.
