Megaman sets the scene at Croke Park

The project involved the addition of Megaman’s LED lighting to the stadium’s flagship event space to allow for total dimming control.

Croke Park is headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) attracting crowds of 82,300 to Ireland’s national games – Gaelic football and hurling. The stadium is also used to accommodate a wide range of events from concerts, meetings and tradeshows to bespoke banqueting. The stadium’s flagship event space, The Hogan Suite, has recently gone through a total refurbishment during which Megaman’s 6W LED GU10 lamps incorporating Dim to Warm technology were installed in conjunction to the existing 50W Halogen GU10 spotlights. The conversion was carried out by Dublin based ECI Lighting who specified the Megaman lamps as they exactly suited the dimming requirements required in this particular area.  Megaman’s LED lamps with Dim to Warm provided the perfect choice for the installation as they offered superb dimming performance, with the benefit of LEDs emitting a warmer light very similar to Halogen when they are dimmed. The Dim to Warm system allows a smooth transition from 2800k to 1800k when dimmed from 100 per cent to 10 per cent.

Megaman’s Dim to Warm range of LED lamps have the same compact profile of incandescent and halogen lamps and provide a true replacement in terms of performance and ambience. The Megaman ranges that incorporate the ingenious Dim to Warm technology include Candles, Classic, MR16s, AR111’s and integrated LED downlights, all of which offer 50,000 hours’ life and high lumen maintenance.
