Survey backed by the building services engineering sector set to close shortly

The survey is expected to inform the government, and the building services engineering sector and its stakeholders, where the sector stands in the lead-up to ‘BIM Level 2’ becoming mandatory for Whitehall-procured contracts next year. The survey results will be published in October this year.

ECA director of business services Paul Reeve remarked: ‘Our sector-wide BIM Readiness survey continues to attract widespread support and interest. We are delighted in the response so far, and urge anyone involved in building engineering services to complete the survey as soon as possible. Support from everyone working in and around our sector is highly valued.’

‘It’s vital that the sector, and our stakeholders, understand how ‘BIM ready’ we are ahead of significant changes to central government procurement. When the survey results are in, they will be shared with the key players inside government and the wider industry.’

CIBSE technical director Hywel Davies added: ‘This survey is vital for our sector to understand how ready we really are for BIM, and what more we need to do to be fully prepared.’

The study, which is confidential and takes around 10 minutes to complete, will run until Tuesday 15 September. Please click hereto view a full list of survey supporters, and to complete the survey.
