Mr Biagi (centre) praised the work NICEIC was doing to raise the importance of using competent tradespeople with the appropriate certification to carry out building work in Scotland.
He was also of the view that that the Certifier of Construction Scheme should remain non mandatory and schemes such as NICEIC’s Approved Contractor was a complimentary alternative route to certification.

Mr Biagi was also interested in NICEIC’s Jobs for the Girls campaign and believes the encouragement of more females into the industry is an important issue to help solve a potential skills gap in the future.
