BSS LED’s industrial luminaires the first to receive LIA verification

BSS LED was established in 2010 at the start of the LED lighting revolution and thrives on producing high quality LED high bay and low bay luminaires and LED floodlights, all of which are designed and manufactured at its state-of-the-art factory in Ashington, Northumberland. As part of its commitment to UK manufacturing, the company also makes all its own casings in-house, using only UK and European sourced products where possible.

As part of the company’s strict manufacturing ethos, BSS LED is currently in the process of using the LIA Laboratories for verification of its whole product range to endorse the quality of its luminaires and confirm the fact that it strives to produce the best LED products on the market.

Steve Bell, MD at BSS LED commented, ‘The LIA Laboratories have created a benchmark that will help eradicate spurious claims of lamp and luminaire performance. I believe that the service offered by the LIA Laboratories is great news for the industry as a whole. As LED technology is evolving at such a fast rate, BSS LED are committed to continually using the LIA Laboratories service on a roll out programme to ensure that our very latest products meet performance criteria.

‘This, in turn, will not only reaffirm our confidence in the range but also provide our customers with total satisfaction and assurance in our products’.

The LIA Laboratories are the U.K.’s largest independent test laboratory with over 20 years’ experience in testing lighting products and the largest scope of UKAS accreditations for lighting and supporting products in the UK and is the UK Government appointed Notified Body under the Low Voltage Directive.
