A premier solution for 25 years from Xpelair

Mike Ingamells and his wife Una installed an Xpelair Premier DX400T in their kitchen as part of an extension project in 1989 – and after 25 years of reliable performance, he has just replaced it with a brand new version of the same model.

Mr Ingamells, a retired building surveyor, said, ‘It shows the quality of this fan that not only did it work so well for so long, but I’ve been able to replace it with an updated version of the same model still available today.

‘The new DX400T looks more modern and has some new features, but I know exactly how it works and what I can expect from it. Being able to buy the same model has also made the installation easier because the wiring is already installed and I know it will cover the footprint of the old fan.’

With no external wall in the new kitchen, Mr Ingamells had his installed in the ceiling and ducted up through the roof space. It had been used virtually every day for 25 years, turned on whenever the hob was in use.

The fan’s long lifespan was made possible thanks to a series of features designed to improve reliability, including sealed, maintenance free bearings and safety thermal cut-out protection.

Lee Stones, category manager for Xpelair, said, ‘Mr Ingamells’s case is not the first time we’ve been made aware of our products delivering high performance over many decades but it goes some way to show the trusted performance and longevity of the Xpelair brand.’
