CEDIA Tech Forum sponsors to provide top quality training

The two day event, which combines education, a keynote presentation and the annual AGM, will be held on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th November at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London.

CEDIA is pleased to welcome AWE, Crestron, Future Automation, Habitech, HDanywhere, Invision, Leaf, Pulse Marketing, Savant Systems Europe and Wyrestorm as the sponsors of the event. These trade suppliers will dominate the first half of day one by hosting hour long training sessions.

Training sessions

Kicking off at 9.30am, WyreStorm’s Distribution and Control expert James Meredith will lead a highly informative training seminar on ‘Applying HDBaseT, JPEG & H.264 technologies’. Attendees will get the low-down on how the emergence of new formats to distribute HD content changes the custom install game with a session focusing on the comparison of HD over HDBT, JPEG2000 and H.264 transmission, with invaluable information and advice on which format is best suited to specific applications.

Running at the same time is the Pulse Marketing session. The distributor will be hosting a presentation entitled Emerging Trends in Home Cinema, which will focus on 3D audio (AURO-3D and Dolby Atmos), the benefits this technology brings and high quality digital content.

The next hour long presentations will be held by Habitech and HDanywhere. The Habitech session will be focusing on the Pitfalls and Best Practice for IP, while HDanywhere’s MD, Chris Pinder will be talking about the complexities that will accompany trying to distribute native 4K content, once it is widely available, in a residential context. EDID management and ‘handshaking issues’, the implementation of new hardware, and the importance of future-proofing projects to prepare for the full arrival of 4K native content, are just some of the areas that Chris will cover in his talk.

Just before lunchtime, UK distributor, AWE will be informing attendees on the latest updates in Wired and Wireless Multi Room Audio, featuring HEOS By Denon and URC. Running alongside this will be the Leaf session which will cover 4K – HDMI 2.0 – HDCP and HDBaseT technologies.

At 2pm, Crestron and Invision UK will complete the training sessions for the day. Creston will be discussing its wireless solutions, particularity the launch of Crestron Pyng. How it has adapted to the market and how wireless is now the new desired option for many applications. Invision UK will be looking at the benefits of integrating LILIN IP Video Surveillance with leading control solutions such as RTI, Elan g!, Crestron, AMX and Control 4.
