Supercar circuit thrills Gewiss’ ECA Electric Event winners

Thruxton circuit is the fastest in the country with legendary high speed corners and a reputation as a real driver’s circuit. It is also one of the longest in the UK at 2.4 miles per lap.

One of the winners, Simon Rogers of Imtec, said of his experience, ‘It was fantastic and it was only topped by meeting Tiff Needell from the Fifth Gear motor show, taking me and some of the others in a one-on-one drive around the track in a new BMW M4 very quickly… and sideways.’

Gewiss ran the competition to mark the UK launch of Smart [4], Gewiss’ new range of energy efficient LED high-bays, low-bays and floodlights. Paul Black, general manager of Gewiss, said, ‘It was great to have a group of guests who really appreciated the excitement of the day and these incredible cars. It was also useful to spend time with our valued contacts as some of them were not familiar with the wider scope of Gewiss.’

Of Gewiss, Mark Newman from Edmundson Electrical said: ‘We’re finding that more and more customers are looking for energy efficient, maintenance free, competitively priced commercial lighting solutions and it seems like the Gewiss new Smart[4] LED ticks all the boxes.’
