Stiebel Eltron’s smartphone technology allows users to control heat pumps

The technology allows domestic users to adjust the settings of their ground or air source heat pumps. They can do this on their smartphones, tablets or desktop PCs.

Adjustments can be made to room temperatures, domestic hot water, fan settings and cooling systems. In addition, customers can input their own heating programmes and make adjustments for holidays.

The newly launched Internet Service Gateway also gives installers the flexibility to be able to analyse data and make adjustments on behalf of customers.
Mark McManus, Stiebel Eltron UK managing director, said, ‘The introduction of our Internet Service Gateway gives end users and installers the ability to monitor their heat pumps and control their performance remotely via a desktop, tablet or smartphone. The technology also allows consumers to see how little their heat pump costs to run.

‘The online platform can provide people with as much or as little information and data as they want. The platform will also help to ensure that any issues are picked up and dealt with speedily.’

The new Internet Service Gateway is the latest in a line of innovations by Stiebel Eltron UK and follows the launch last month of installer packs for its air source heat pumps.

Mark McManus added, ‘We are proud of the comprehensive range of products that we offer to our domestic and commercial customers, but we also recognise that it is part of our job to ensure the most up-to-date customer service.

‘The launch of the Internet Service Gateway, installer packs and various other innovations are all part of our desire to exceed the expectations of our customers, installer network and other partners across the UK.’
