EMSc to sponsor successful young British golfer

EMSc (UK), which has its office and manufacturing headquarters in Sheffield, will partner with Tom, 21, to promote the company’s flagship product, the Powerstar voltage optimisation system.

Tom started playing golf from an early age in Sheffield at Abbeydale Golf Club. At the age of 11 he was entering and winning tournaments across Sheffield and Yorkshire and by 15 was breaking records, setting the course record at his local club. Tom has also won the Sheffield Six Man Tournament (in both the boys’ and men’s categories) and will be joining the EPD (European Professional Development) Pro Golf Tour in January 2014.

Tom said, ‘I am very grateful for the support provided to me by EMSc (UK). It will allow me to concentrate on playing golf, competing in tournaments and achieving my dreams of playing on the tour. I look forward to representing EMSc (UK) and the Powerstar brand throughout Europe in the upcoming tournaments.’

The EPD Professional Golf Tour takes place over a year, across six countries and involves 20 tournaments. The top placed golfers from the Tour will receive a free pass to compete in the 2015 Challenge Tour, which is the second tier men’s Professional Golf Tour.

Alex Mardapittas, managing director of EMSc (UK), said, ‘Tom has an exciting future ahead and we are happy to support him as he makes his initial steps onto the Professional Tour. We will certainly be keeping a close eye on his success. I am sure in the coming years he will be carrying the Powerstar brand into the Challenge Tour. He certainly has the talent to achieve all his ambitions.’
