JCC snapped up by Leviton

The deal provides JCC with the support of an international player to further enhance its growth both within the UK and overseas, while for Leviton it is a compelling strategic move, giving it a strong presence in the UK market. The combined companies have the experience to develop the next generation of intelligent LED lighting.
JCC will be run as a wholly owned subsidiary of Leviton, led by Richard Adey, executive chairman, who will be reporting to Daryoush Larizadeh, chief operating officer of Leviton Manufacturing.

Richard Adey commented, ‘JCC is delighted to be partnering with Leviton given its renowned expertise and global reach in controls technology, which will drive JCC’s further expansion both in the UK and overseas. Leviton’s input will help enhance our LED product innovation and development, this is fundamental to our business strategy and to the recent acceleration in our growth. I would like to thank LDC, who since 2008 has helped transform our company into the LED market leader it is today.’

Donald Hendler, CEO of Leviton, commented, ‘The acquisition of JCC is a strong strategic move, giving us a significant presence in the UK and a solid foundation for further expansion globally. Leviton has built our reputation on innovation and product development. It strategically makes sense to add a market leading advanced lighting solutions business like JCC to our lighting and energy systems capabilities.’
