FS Cables releases issue 11 of cabling guide – ‘The Little Red Book’

Increased in length to 182 pages, it contains technical and application data for over 8,000 cables. Cables include data, bus, coaxial, signal and control, power, fire and security, telephone, rubber and crane and high temperature as well as glands, connectors and a guide to custom manufactured cables. While the book’s length has increased the size remains a handy A5 – an ideal companion either on site or in the office.

Issue 11 features a new section dedicated entirely to the large range of low smoke halogen free cables (LSHF) held in stock. The FSC LSHF range is comprehensive and is a top quality alternative to traditional PVC or LSF when installing in public buildings or near sensitive electronic equipment.

The home automation and building control section has been expanded to include pages on HD composite cables, bundled multiple Category 5E and Category 6 and an increased TruSound range of professional grade speaker, microphone and line level audio cables.

Selected tables from 17th Edition Wiring Regulations are included for reference, as are stranding and AWG/Metric conversion charts. A full set of American, British and European colour codes are also included.
