Rehau sets challenge for contractors

The company is confident that it can meet any challenge set by clients or contractors.

Tom Hunter, Rehau’s development engineer, said, ‘We’ve proved that we can solve just about any cable trunking conundrum which our customers face. We can supply trunking in any RAL colour and even in curved shapes where feasible, and we can manufacture bespoke versions of the largest or the tiniest components from our standard range to suit any individual application.

‘We now want customers to come to us with any technical or aesthetic issues which they might face and see for themselves how our design and manufacturing teams can come up with a solution quickly and cost effectively.’

Contractors can put their challenge to Rehau’s sales or technical teams in person, but if they use Twitter (@REHAUtrunking), Facebook (REHAU Trunking) or LinkedIn (REHAU-Trunking) they will receive a free Rehau puzzle in return.

Rehau’s design team will then work on site with customers to understand specific problems and produce drawings and prototypes for approval. The UK based manufacturing facility will then produce finished components – sometimes in as little as two weeks.

As well as curved and coloured trunking, the company’s success stories already include components such as: desktop columns with varying requirements for sockets, bespoke adaptors to allow dado trunking to be joined to desktop trunking, unsupported butt joints and even trunking fitted directly to modular furniture ranges to give a perfect finish.

Tom Hunter added, ‘All too often, contractors tell us that they find themselves having to adapt standard products to fit specific on site applications. This inevitably takes time and can sometimes compromise the overall look of the finished installation.

‘We’re telling contractors that they don’t need to do that anymore. All they need to do is contact Rehau with the requirements of the application and we will produce a bespoke version of one of our standard products which is quick and easy to install and produces a perfect finish every time.’

Rehau is stressing that its Challenge Us campaign is a mainstream solution which is fast and cost effective. There are no minimum order quantities and the additional costs can generally be absorbed on any project of a reasonable scale.

As well as running adverts in the trade press for its Challenge Us campaign, Rehau has also launched a new website to focus solely on its bespoke solutions at www.rehau.co.uk/bespokesolutions where there is a downloadable brochure also available.
