Spending Review shows promising commitment to infrastructure and housing investment, says ECA

Steve Bratt, ECA Group CEO, said, ‘We are pleased with the pledge to spend £100bn on infrastructure over the next Parliament, and plans to extend the Affordable Homes Programme, but we need to know what this will involve. Although the Chancellor highlighted HS2 and Crossrail 2 as particular projects, we will have to wait until tomorrow for further announcements on infrastructure and housing investment plans to judge whether it’s genuinely good news for construction.’
