NAPIT EXPO 2013: A great success according to visitors

With some of the highlights this year including expert lead Q&A sessions, an extremely popular discount meter calibration service and a diverse mix of industry leading exhibitors, 97 per cent of respondents to the show survey said they would visit again.

The exhibition, which took place on 6th June 2013 – opened by local MP Henry Smith – saw a broad spectrum of tradespeople flock to the Copthorne Hotel, Effingham, Gatwick, to make the most of exclusive on the day offers, specialist advice and the opportunity to network and find out more about the industry they work in.

The much anticipated Q&A sessions proved popular, testament to the draw of the influential industry speakers and engaging topics on show. Highlights included DECC official John McKenna, who gave an excellent talk on all things Green Deal – and the testing technical questions that came out of the ‘Technically Speaking’ session.

A heavily discounted meter calibration service was also a major draw for many, with 91 per cent of the visitors who brought their meter to be calibrated saying the service was good. Many also commented on the efficiency and value of the service.

NAPIT deputy chief executive officer Michael Andrews said, ‘We are very pleased with this year’s EXPO. I would like to personally thank Henry Smith MP for officially opening the show and the expert speakers who participated within the Q&A sessions. The calibration service was also a resounding success. This was a feature that proved very popular last year and it’s something we made a conscious effort to improve and develop. The great responses we’ve received are valuable feedback to everyone involved. This has also provided a great insight into why visitors attend, what they liked and weren’t so keen on, and this gives us an ideal starting point for making next year’s EXPO even better.’
