Legrand plugs in to potential of Electric Event

Legrand will be urging electrical contractors to use the bus at the ECA’s Electric Event (20th-22nd June) in more ways than one.

The company will not only be discussing the advantages of busbar installations, along with building automation and desk modules as part of a workshop programme, but will also be laying on a shuttle bus between the ICC (International Conference Centre) and Legrand’s Birmingham HQ to enable delegates to see first hand the variety of electrical products and technical innovation the company has to offer.

Legrand is a ‘Gold’ sponsor for the Electric Event, which will see the ECA hold its annual conference in the UK for the first time in many years in order to make the event more accessible to contractors of all sizes and at all levels. The company will be holding three workshops; on home automation and intelligent buildings; busbar; and desk modules. Legrand will also have an exhibition stand at the event to showcase its Salamandre range of distribution trunking and will be inviting installers to try their hand at the Salamandre time trial to test for themselves just how quick it is to install Salamandre.

Mark Evans, marketing director at Legrand, said, ‘We think it’s a great idea for the ECA to hold its annual conference as an accessible event here in the UK so that more contractors can attend and develop their knowledge of installation techniques and products on the market. The ECA is aiming for around 500 contractors to attend the workshop programme and tour the exhibition and we are looking forward to meeting up with many of our customers during the event. The fact that the Electric Event is being held in Birmingham makes it even better for Legrand because it means that we can also invite delegates to our customer centre five minutes from the ICC to find out more about our products and how we can help them save time on site, reduce costs or add value.’

Legrand will be opening up its car park on Friday 21st June  to provide a limited number of pre-bookable ‘park and ride’ spaces as well as offering a free shuttle bus service between the Legrand HQ and the ICC. Members of the Legrand team will be on hand throughout the two day event to offer guided tours of the Customer Centre, which is fully equipped with demo units of Legrand’s extensive cable management, power distribution, wiring accessories and building automation ranges. Delegates visiting Legrand’s HQ will also be offered complimentary refreshments as part of the company’s hospitality.

Mark added, ‘Contractors and specifiers come to our Customer Centre on a daily basis to discuss their requirements with our experts and see what new innovations Legrand has brought to the marketplace. However, this important industry event is taking place within a stone’s throw of our HQ so it seemed the perfect opportunity to introduce more contractors to the quality products and proactive approach pioneered by Legrand.’
