StreetwiseSubbie.com has announced plans to hold a first of its kind conference on 7th June in Nottingham to help turn around the dire state of the construction industry.
The company, which is geared towards helping specialist contractors in areas such as late payments and combating unfair treatment from main contractors, has already made headlines by exposing the extent of the payment abuse in the construction industry, with one of its members, who will be speaking at the conference, becoming somewhat of a hero after showing that standing up to main contractors is possible and worthwhile. Barry is recognised as an industry expert on the matter of late payments and is honoured to have been requested to speak on a panel for an ‘all party inquiry into late payments to small businesses’ on 23rd April held at the Houses of Parliament.
‘I am seeing far too many good specialist contractors being crushed in this economy because they have not got access to the proven strategies for commercial and contractual security and new business generation,’ said Barry, and he plans to turn that around with this half day conference.
