Karren Brady & Nectar Business search for Britain’s Best Small Businesses

The fifth Nectar Business Small Business Awards has been launched, led by leading business woman and star of BBC 1’s The Apprentice Karren Brady.

These awards – which are free to enter – celebrate the achievements of successful small businesses and business people across the UK.

The Nectar Business Small Business Awards are judged by a panel of respected industry figures including Karren Brady, Nectar marketing director James Frost, David Hughes, marketing director, Brakes and 2012 winner and MD of Luxury For Less, Chris Li. As well as receiving £2,000 cash and 50,000 Nectar points, entrants are also competing for the unique opportunity of meeting and receiving tailored expert advice from Karren Brady and other industry experts at the Nectar Business Round Table event – to be held later in the year.

Open between 11th March 2013 and 30th April 2013, the awards, which now include the Tradesperson of the Year and the Start Up of the Year categories, celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding achievements of small businesses in the UK. All SMEs, social enterprises, charities and entrepreneurs that demonstrate innovative and sustainable business ideas are invited to enter as many categories as are relevant to their business:

o        Small Business of the Year

o        Start Up of the Year (Under one year trading)

o        Innovation of the Year

o        Contribution to the Community

o        Entrepreneur of the Year

o        Tradesperson of the Year

Karren Brady commented, ‘Last year’s Nectar Business round table gave me an opportunity to meet some of the UK’s brightest business stars and take part in some lively and inspirational conversations, I can’t wait to hear more this year.’

James Frost, marketing director at Nectar, added, ‘It’s fantastic to see that last year’s Nectar Business Small Business Award winners have used their accolade to build on the successes that made them stand out from other entrants. Viezu and ShredBank have seen a surge in business since advertising their win as it made a fantastic point of difference for their customers to recognise them as leaders in their fields.

‘The three new categories for this year Tradesperson, Entrepreneur and Start-up of the Year will offer the 2013 awards a new dimension and I urge all UK based SMEs to enter as many categories as applicable.’

Don’t miss this chance to show off your business and be recognised for your achievements. Log on to www.nectar-business.com/SBA2013 to see full awards information and details of how to enter.
