Vent-Axia fans chosen for Brighton council housing

Vent-Axia has supplied social housing repairs and maintenance provider Mears Group with its Lo-Carbon Centra fans for use in Brighton & Hove City Council’s housing stock.

During the last two years Vent-Axia’s dMEV (decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation) Lo-Carbon Centra fans have been installed in a variety of properties across the city as an energy efficient solution to help keep homes free of damaging condensation.

Brighton & Hove City Council owns and manages nearly 12,300 homes in Brighton, Hove and Portslade that range from bedsits to six bedroom houses, including 23 sheltered schemes, around 11 per cent of all housing in Brighton & Hove.

Centra is designed to operate as a continuous running axial fan, offering trickle ventilation but comprising a boost feature which can be utilised as necessary based on specific room requirements. Adjustable ‘normal’ running speeds make it suitable for continuous extract in kitchens, bathrooms, en-suites and utility rooms.
