Wildlife group badgers Hager to donate products

Hager has donated two consumer units and a selection of light fittings to Wakefield District Badger Club to help create a conservation site in the Wakefield countryside.

The Hager products will bring the group one step closer to installing electricity in its storage, workshop and office units on the conservation site. Paul Hayward from the Wakefield District Badger Club said, ‘Setting up the site has been a long, drawn out process, as we are run solely by volunteers. Hager’s donation is invaluable in helping our ongoing wildlife conservation project, as it ensures the safe operation of our new site.

‘Hager’s donation means that more of our funds can go towards creating safe habitats and educating the public.’

The Wakefield District Badger Club volunteers are involved in a wide range of activities to help conserve the natural habitat for badgers, including assisting the emergency services when an incident with an animal occurs, ongoing habitat management, restoration and improvement and supporting landowners on wildlife issues.
