MEMS saves the day after school fire

MEMS Power Generation was called upon after a private school in Essex suffered a fire causing major damage.

MEMS supplied two 300kVA’s running prime that fed a temporary accommodation block housing students.

Response to the site was critical and, as well as installing a temporary solution, MEMS supplied a full scope of services including a remotely monitored fuel management programme.

A team of engineers worked hard to ensure that the school was able to run as normal causing as little disruption to lessons as possible.

Iain Maxwell, sales manager, MEMS Power Generation, commented, ‘We understand that the damage of a fire can have a serious impact on a business, and that the school would be concerned if the damage had an impact on lesson time. Our main concern was to provide enough power to ensure that the school could run as normal while repairs to the building and the electrical infrastructure were being made.’
