Motoring journalist and TV star Quentin Willson will be the star attraction at NICEIC Live North, taking place at Bolton Arena on 1st November.

The former Top Gear presenter heads a stellar line-up of speakers for the conference and exhibition that brings together some of the biggest names in the electrical industry. It is the first time NICEIC has brought the show to the north of England and follows the success of two previous events at Epsom Downs Racecourse.

‘We have booked a strong line-up of seminars, speakers and exhibitors, ensuring there is something for everyone to take back to their day-to-day role,’ said NICEIC chief executive Emma Clancy.

Willson will be discussing the opportunities for contractors presented by electric vehicles. Other prominent speakers include JCB chief executive Alan Blake, who will talk about the opportunities and challenges the construction industry holds for electrical contractors. NICEIC’s Tony Cable and Darren Staniforth will also deliver a number of technical presentations on subjects including EICRs and a solar PV case study.

Members of the NICEIC technical team will also be on hand to answer queries about specific electrical issues. In addition to the presentations, attendees will also be able to get their hands on the latest tools and meet suppliers from across the electrical and building services industries.

The event, which is being sponsored by Philips, follows the success of NICEIC

Live South, which held its second annual event earlier this year.
