BBES plants fruit trees as part of Balfour Beatty’s sustainability month

Balfour Beatty Engineering Services (BBES) recently planted fruit trees as part of Balfour Beatty’s sustainability month.

Across Balfour Beatty in May employees engaged in a host of activities and had fun at the same time. Two orchard apple trees, one green and one red, were planted on 25th May 2012 at BBES’ Glasgow office in Hillington Industrial Estate.

John Murray, BBES environmental advisor, and Colin McKinnon, BBES facilities supervisor, were involved with the green initiative.

Colin said, ‘Hopefully later in the year employees will enjoy the fruits of our labour first hand when apples are picked and distributed to the fruit bowls in the office.’
