Website selector ensures correct flexible conduit specification

Flexicon has launched a new interactive website that helps to ensure that contractors (engineers) select the most appropriate flexible conduit system for a project.

Visitors to the new website www.flexicon.uk.com can search the product selector section in a number of ways to create the correct cable management solution for their project.

You can search by functionality, by answering a series of simple questions covering potential hazards that the flexible conduit system may face including temperature, IP rating, mechanical forces plus others. The product selector then returns a list of potential conduits most suited to the selection criteria.

Customers can also search by selecting the flexible conduit that matches their requirements and the product selector will then outline compatible fittings and sizes which can be used to provide a complete system. They can also do the reverse search where they select the desired fitting first, before choosing the appropriate flexible conduit.

The online selector uses pictures to make product selection easier combined with performance symbols relating to fire performance, IP rating and EMC screening performance.

When the customer has selected the desired conduit the search can then be refined further by selecting the size and length of conduit required, after which you can generate a part number list for the products that you are interested in.

Trade prices and pack quantities for the flexible conduit and fittings selected are also available by registration and you can print off a complete bill of materials which can be sent in advance to the electrical wholesaler for quotation if necessary.
